Housed in the wonderful South Lodge Hotel in Horsham, West Sussex, The Pass is the Michelin starred concept restaurant based on the idea of slightly extending the Chef's Table to create an exclusive and unique 22 cover restaurant. At the helm of this innovative and award winning Sussex restaurant is Head Chef Matt Gillan who not only managed to achieve the highest culinary accolade bestowed upon a restaurant in the form of a Michelin star but also achieved 3 AA Rosettes within 3 months of opening, The Pass is contemporary in every sense, from the innovative concept of the restaurant to the modern design of the dining room and the Modern British cuisine. Diners have a bird's eye view of the kitchen at all times, where the theatrical display of culinary skill creates an exciting atmosphere. The restaurant specialises in tasting menus and seasonality is key. Example dishes are saddle of venison with braised haunch, cabbage and blue cheese; roasted scallops with crushed chick pea, poached pear, lemon and liquorice and braised leg of rabbit with prune puree, pickled onions and sprouts. Sussex has a real gem of a restaurant in its midst with The Pass, taking dining to new and exciting levels. Please note that The Pass is open only to children over the age of 12.
